BACKGROUND & RATIONALE
Climate change is one of the most pressing challenges of our time, with far-reaching impacts on ecosystems, economies, and communities worldwide. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has warned that urgent and unprecedented action is needed to limit global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
Young people stand as essential agents of environmental transformation because they face the greatest future climate threats while simultaneously holding the energy and creative drive needed to develop and promote solutions.
